SRQ magazine officially kicks off the season with the annual philanthropy awards evening GOOD | GALA – The Independent Spirit Awards, recognizing non-profit innovation through the creativity of our region’s premier performing and visual arts institutions. Watch as our artists bring these "giving back" stories to life in movement, song and dance on the main stage. Join us at the Historic Sarasota Opera House in downtown Sarasota for an evening of giving good stories highlighted by curated performances of live music, contemporary dance, circus arts and visual art installations. Before the curtain opens, a tempting spread of inspired bites and cocktails will celebrate the culinary arts of Sarasota. Distinctive flavors for the discerning palate will fill the floors of the Sarasota Opera House, with a sweet and savory dessert table set in the courtyard just before midnight. Each bar will serve up shimmering craft cocktails, specialty beers and a selection of wines.
