Island Gallery West presents 3 new Artists for June

Our Featured Artist exhibit for the month of June introduces our three newest member artists — Jody Clancy Goldman, Darryl Goldman and Jim Wheeler. Their works will be on display at Island Gallery West in Holmes Beach from June 1 to June 30, 2021. Many of Jody (Clancy) Goldman’s paintings have been created from photographs taken in our local Florida area and while traveling to over 60 countries during her airline career. She creates works both in oil and in colored pencil. She calls her exhibit “My Favorite Things.” Come in to meet the artist! Jody will be in the gallery from 10 am to 5 pm on Thursday, June 3. Darryl Goldman is an oil painter who enjoys an impressionistic approach; he is very much into the art of plein air painting. “Simple Memories” is the theme of his exhibited works. You can meet and get to know Darryl in the gallery on Thursday, June 24. Jim Wheeler is a former painter, now photographer, who embellishes his photographs with the addition of acrylic over-painting to enhance them. His photographs result in a unique blend of the two media — his collection is entitled “Florida.” Jim will be in the gallery on Sunday, June 6, and you can learn how he arrived at his approach to embellishing his photography. We hope you’ll visit the gallery and view the works of these talented new members, enjoy their three individual styles and see the variety of all the beautiful works on display.
