Description

Many people don't realize that the effects of an auto accident can stretch far beyond the vehicles or passengers injured. When an accident occurs, costs can be comprised of medical care, property damage, legal costs and lost productivity. Goodwill Manasota has partnered with Gerard Fiacco and Bowen, Miclette and Britt Insurance to bring you a seminar educating employers on the total costs associated with auto accidents and to introduce steps you can take to improve safety and reduce injuries and costs.

An expert group of panelists, including seasoned insurance agents, risk managers, adjusters and lawyers will gather to discuss the intricacies of auto accidents.

Topics to be covered will include:
Improving Safety to Reduce Accidents:
-6 Steps to Fleet Safety
-The use of telematics
Post-Accident Investigations and Actions:
-An adjuster’s perspective: what is looked at when a claim is reported and the keys to a successful investigation.
-Consideration with regard to liability evaluation.
Legal Implications:
-Engaging professional pre-suit to assist in evaluating the claim and potential exposures.
-Analyzing all angles such as how social media can affect any claim.
-Implementing a "game plan" once suit has been filed to include specific benchmarks for evaluating the impact of factual circumstances and the allegations in the complaint.
-Deciphering Supplemental Consequences:
-Contributory and comparative negligence
-The Workers’ Comp impact of an auto accident

The panel of experts will include:
-Gerard Fiacco, Executive Vice President of Bowen, Miclette & Britt Insurance
-Jimmy Drew, Risk Manager Specialist of Bowen, Miclette & Britt Insurance
-Michael Hall, Senior Claims Adjuster of Amerisure Insurance Company
-Thamir Kaddouri, Esq. Civil Litigation for the Law Office of Thamir A.R. Kaddouri, Jr., P.A
-David Roos, Workers’ Compensation Attorney for Henderson Franklin Attorneys at Law
