Description
The studio of Classical Ballet will be presenting its 16th annual production of "The Nutcracker" at the Sarasota Opera House on December 17, 2016 at 7:00pm and December 18, 2016 at 1:30pm. Let us capture your imagination and transport you to a world of wonder, where mischievous mice meet courageous toy soldiers. Follow Clara as she embarks on her journey to the magical land of sweets. This enchanting holiday classic set to the iconic score of Tchaikovsky with beautiful sets, and costumes is sure to enthrall audiences of all ages. The role of Clara will be danced by Vada Runge on December 17 and Silia Matelau on December 18. This production involves 95 children from the Studio of Classical Ballet. Guest artist include Elisha Nilsen from New York City as the Cavalier . The Sugar Plum Fairy will be danced by the Studio of Classical Ballet's very own Rachel Silverman on December 17 and Diana Dizon, formerly of Boston Ballet II on December 18 .
