Text Box: Youth Mental Health First Aid® is the help offered to a young person experiencing a mental health challenge, mental disorder or a mental health crisis. The first aid given until appropriate help is received or until the crisis resolves.
Text Box: Risk factors and warning signs of mental health and substance use problems Information on depression, anxiety, trauma, psychosis and substance use A 5-step action plan to help someone who is developing a mental health problem or in crisis Available evidence-based professional, peer and self-help resources Introduces participants to the unique risk factors and warning signs of mental health problems in adolescents Builds understanding of the importance of early intervention Teaches individuals how to help an adolescent in crisis or experiencing a mental health challenge The course is designed for adults who regularly interact with adolescents (teachers, school staff, coaches, youth group leaders, parents, etc.)

The Manatee Chamber of Commerce, a Florida Chamber of Commerce, is located in Bradenton, Florida and serves Anna Maria Island, Bradenton, Bradenton Beach, Ellenton, Holmes Beach, Lakewood Ranch, Longboat Key, Palmetto, Parrish, and Myakka City. Lakewood Ranch and Longboat Key are bi-County areas, split between Sarasota and Manatee. The area is considered part of the South Tampa Bay Region.
