Job Description
Customer service and sales experience required.  Computer literate, able to work accurately and efficiently within complex computer programs (member database and Excel).  Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, particularly in relationships with members, volunteers, donors, staff and aquarium visitors.  Ability to manage multiple projects independently.
The Membership Coordinator for Mote Marine Laboratory & Aquarium within the Community Relations and Communications department will: 
  • Serve as membership contact on duty by responding to questions about the details and benefits of membership through timely responses to telephone calls or emails, working closely and under the direction of the Membership Manager.
  • Review and process individual membership renewals and applications received at the admissions desk and via mail and phone.  Process and scan membership payments and forms for deposit and submission to the business office. Data entry into our member database, Versai, of all admission membership applications, working closely and under the direction of the Membership Manager.
  • Assist in promoting membership sales through the membership service office and at the aquarium admissions desk (when necessary).
  • Assist in maintaining inventory of new member packets for the admissions desk and other membership informational collateral materials.
  • Coordinate membership event logistics, including registrations, attendee tracking, pre and post event evaluation.
  • Assist with the transition/closing of the Brick Program. Provide customer service for any current/existing brick owners.
  • Coordinate speakers, vendors and maintain RSVP’s for various member events.
  • Other duties as assigned.
CLASSIFICATION:  Monday-Friday office hours not to exceed 29.5 hours a week. Schedule will be Monday-Thursday 9 a.m.-4 p.m. and Friday 9 a.m.-3:30 p.m. Understanding that flexibility is required to provide coverage for events after hours and on weekends.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:  Must be able to sit for long periods of time at a computer.   Must occasionally lift and move up to 30 pounds.
