Job Description

Business Professional I (Working Title: Financial Management & Strategy Management Coordinator):  Provides support for the successful implementation of the Sarasota County Strategy and Performance Management Program and provides administrative support to the Office of Financial Management. 

Duties:

  • OFM performance management designee responsible for developing department objectives and measures, tracking and analyzing trends in performance data; implement evaluation program by developing and analyzing survey data; monthly financial report generation.
  • Enterprise-wide strategy and performance program management implementation by acting as a liaison to all departments for one-on-one training and development of performance measures and objectives, support major initiative and board priority tracking; enable successful preparation of department strategy reports during budget process.
  • Strategy program system support by tracking, monitoring and evaluating Leadership and Public Dashboard measures; responsible for all user administration in the Dashboard; troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
  • Organize meetings, prepares and distributes correspondence; procure goods for department; assist in recruitment; asset management support and inventory audit; solves routine problems and improves processes; serves as OFM eGenda gatekeeper responsible for assigning items for fiscal review; creates purchase requisitions in OneSolution; approves invoices in OnBase; maintain and update OFM internet and intranet sites; create tracking sheet to use in conjunction with intranet for budget book tasks; serves as OFM Public Records Request liaison. 
  • Performance management team coordination for enterprise team to present and train to team members, facilitate performance measure enhancements and develop the team network.
  • Participate and lead in special projects through process improvement evaluation; facilitation of stakeholder input; research County practice and policy; draft technical reports.

Minimum Qualifications:  An Associate's Degree from an accredited college or university with three (3) years job-related experience OR a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university in job-related field; one-year job-related experience preferred.  Five (5) years professional related experience can be substituted for the degree at management discretion.
