Under the direct supervision of the Fire Captain, primarily performs aircraft rescue and firefighting duties, first responder EMT duties, and building fire and rescue response to include general fire protection and fire suppression/prevention functions.
 
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:  High School Diploma or GED.
 
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Experience as an Aircraft Rescue Fire Fighter; Live Fire Burn experience to comply with FAR Part 139, preferred
 
LICENSES & CERTIFICATIONS:  Valid and current State of Florida Fire Fighter Certification.  Valid and current State of Florida Emergency Medical Technician Certification.  Valid State of Florida Driver's License with satisfactory driving record.
 
OTHER REQUIREMENTS:  Must pass a physical fitness test or provide proof of passing the National Candidate Physical Abilities Test (CPAT) within the last six months.  Meet minimum qualifications for employment as a firefighter in the State of Florida as defined in Florida Statutes Section 633.412.
