Job Description
Position manages all aspects of membership including recruitment, retention and programs. Key Accountabilities: Direct and support membership promotion plan for strengthening membership growth and retention. Plan and implement activities to ensure goals are accomplished on time and deadlines are met. Ensure positive experience for members from date of inquiry through application approval and active engagement as a member. Develop and implement member engagement initiatives and new member onboarding programs, ensuring that value is continuously communicated to members. Work with staff and volunteers to identify opportunities to enhance member engagement Develop and execute membership renewal campaign; identify technological enhancements and process improvements Continually monitor and assess membership benefit programs for improvement and explore opportunities for development of new programs. Regularly produce reports identifying membership performance for use in planning and budgeting Work with social media coordinator on aspects of member website to support and enhance volunteer experience. Review and collaborate on content for all membership related web pages. Working closely with chapter staff to implement successful recruitment and retention campaigns. Develop/ provide turnkey programs and materials for easy use. Provide training to chapter staff and volunteer leaders for successful implementation. Establish and lead ongoing chapter forums that share best practices for membership recruitment among chapters. Maintain in-depth knowledge of association programs, services, benefits, features, events, with the ability to articulate succinctly. Create opportunities to learn from members (surveys, committees, focus groups) to support improving the membership value Serve as the staff liaison to membership committee. Set up and supervise membership booth at trade show. Attend association member meetings, events and programs as required. Education, prior work experience, specialized skills and knowledge: Strong customer service oriented; proven ability to take ownership of assigned projects and processes; diligent, well organized, reliable and energetic; strong ability to edit and develop membership content; strong organizational and project management skills; experience with sales and marketing to membership groups. 4-year degree in Communications, Marketing, or related field. Excellent organizational, multi-tasking and follow up skills. Superior written and oral communications skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office software, experience with Adobe graphics programs and wordpress.
