We are able to meet this mission by reaching out to Veterans with our programs as a way to recognize\, thank them\, and acknowledge their sacrifice and service to their country. Our programs are designed to assist Veterans when trying to acquire or maintain safe and secure housing for themselves and their families. They include the following: 1) Home Ownership Assistance financial assistance toward closing costs and down payments when purchasing a home valued at $300\,000 or under. Many Veterans are overwhelmed with the cost of out-of-pocket expenses when trying to buy a home. 2) Repair and Maintenance support will help keep Veterans and their families safe and in their homes if they have fallen on hard times or if there is a medical need requiring a modification. Some Veterans need assistance with the up-keep of their home due to a lack of financial resources. 3) Housing Assistance Program (rental/utility deposit\, eviction\, disaster relief) Veterans will have access to funds for rental/utility deposits\, eviction prevention\, and emergency and disaster relief when related to securing and maintaining housing. Our entire budget is made up of community and corporate contributions\, individual donations and proceeds from our special events. Annually\, we hold a Heroes Party and a Veterans Day Golf Scramble.
