Dr. Linda Stevenson\, Adjunct Professor for the University of Florida's Historic Preservation Program\, will give a talk on what Historic Preservation is\, how it benefits communities and the tourism industry\, and how it can be put into practice here in Manatee County. This presentation will include a discussion on tax credits\, and what Certified Local Governments (CLGs) are and the benefits of becoming one. A social hour with light refreshments will follow the talk. The Manatee Village grounds will close at 8:00pm.
