DESCRIPTION:Maria Sine is our December featured artist with "Blue and Beyond". "Although considered a wildlife artist\, I mostly focus on sea turtles and tropical birds. My new show\, Blue and Beyond\, includes this subject matter and also speaks to other creative pursuits. They include Mediterranean scenes\, the Florida landscape and some abstract work." Maria has always been passionate about the visual arts. Having spent over 35 years in public education as an art teacher\, she has always brought out the "artist" in her students. Now in her retirement\, she is bringing out the artist in herself and creating vibrant\, colorful watercolor and acrylic paintings. Please join us on Friday December 6th at the opening reception from 5pm - 7.30pm. A chance to see Maria's exhibit and meet the artist! There will be music by Chip Ragsdale\, appetizers and wine and many of the artist members will be there ensuring a wonderful start to the holiday season. Island Gallery West is located at 5368 Gulf Dr.\, Holmes Beach\, FL\, Trolley Stop 15 on Anna Maria Island. Maria's exhibit runs through December 31st. Regular gallery hours are 10am - 5pm every day.
