DESCRIPTION:Manatee Young Professionals (MYP) will spend a half day to help build a Habitat for Humanity home! Volunteers are required to be 16 years of age or older and to wear closed-toed shoes. Be sure to dress comfortably for the outdoors (no tank tops are allowed\, shorts should be a modest length) and apply sunscreen and bug spray. Activities will include digging\, painting\, landscaping\, loading and unloading\, and installing parts of the house (no experience required!). Manatee County Habitat for Humanity will provide all the materials and PPE needed to complete the work. They will also provide water and a light snack at break time!\n\n\n\n*** This event is being offered twice to allow for more volunteers. Please sign up for either the Thursday or Saturday option\, not both.***\n\n\n\nManatee Young Professionals is a program of the Manatee Chamber and geared toward professionals in the age range of 21 - 40 years.
