DESCRIPTION:FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE\n\nRain Barrel 101 with the Folk School at Florida Maritime Museum \n\n\n\nCortez\, Fla. (May 14\, 2019)   The Folk School at Florida Maritime Museum is looking forward to Rain Barrel 101with the Manatee County IFAS Extension Office on Friday\, June 14th from 10AM to 12PM. \n\n\n\nJoin Susan Griffith from the Manatee County IFAS Extension Office for a lecture on the importance of conserving water and prevent storm water runoff using rain barrels to water your plants in between rains. After\, join FMM staff in putting together your rain barrel (included in class fee). Students have the option to stick around after class to decorate their barrels with classmates\, or decorate their rain barrels at home!*\n\n*FMM staff will provide some paint supplies   anything specific a student wants should be brought with them the day of class. \n\nThe workshop is open to the public and will be offered on Friday\, June 14th with a registration fee of $48\, and will be from 10 AM to 12 PM. Please register in advance by visiting https://floridafolkschool.org/ *The processing fees are now included in the price. The Folk School is at the Florida Maritime Museum\, which is located in the 1912 Schoolhouse in historic Cortez fishing village.
