Miss Thomasson will also share her favorite quote by Mary Jane Whitaker when the pioneer stood her ground against the enemy. Admission is free\; seating is on a first come\, first-served basis. Ms. Thomasson won the 2005 Florida Trust for Historic Preservation Award for her contributions to Florida history through her articles for Yesterday in Florida magazine.
