Description

On September 1st from 5pm-9pm Evie?s Tavern and Grill Bee Ridge in Sarasota will host ?Ales for Autism? in support of The ABA Academy Inc. during the Giving Partner Challenge 2015. This is a free event open to the public with drink and food specials and several autism awareness activities. Evie's will also be creating a special "autism awareness" drink for the event. This is the 2nd year The ABA Academy will be participating in The Giving Partner Challenge in support of the school and their students with Autism. On September 1 ? September 2, 2015 from noon to noon, more than 400 nonprofits with profiles in The Giving Partner will engage our community in a 24-hour online day of giving. Over the last few years, people who care in Southwest Florida have infused more than $8 million into our community through the Giving Challenge, an exciting day of online giving. The ABA Academy hopes to raise $20,000 during the 24 hour period to build a brand new playground for their special needs students. The Community Foundation of Sarasota County administers the Giving Challenge as a service to donors, nonprofits and the community. They partner with The Patterson Foundation, Manatee Community Foundation, John S. and James L. Knight Foundation, William G. and Marie Selby Foundation, and the Herald-Tribune Media Group to make the Giving Challenge possible.
