Description

Threads of the Past with Pieces of the Present is a free community event at Town Square University Parkway that celebrates creativity, connection, and the beauty of building something meaningful together. This special June Art Exhibit will showcase mosaics, patchwork, murals, and collaborative artwork created over six weeks by the members of our senior center. Each piece begins as an individual expression through painting, weaving, assembling, and layering, then comes together as part of a larger mural-style installation rooted in storytelling, symbolism, and community. Inspired by the idea that art, like community, is stronger when built together, this exhibit honors personal expression while strengthening confidence, belonging, and connection. It is not about perfection, but about presence, purpose, and the joy of creating side by side.

This fun and interactive evening invites families, guests, and community members to experience one-of-a-kind artwork created by our members and bid on these meaningful pieces. The exhibit also helps bring awareness to Alzheimer’s disease and the power of dignified, engaging programming for seniors. Guests will enjoy free food, drinks, and live entertainment while supporting an important cause. All proceeds from the event will benefit two local nonprofits serving seniors in our community, All 4 the Members and Suncoast Aging Network.

Join us on June 10th from 5:00 PM to 6:30 PM at Town Square University Parkway for an inspiring evening of art, connection, and purpose. To RSVP, please call 941-277-5048.
