Type of event: Educational talk/performance
Come meet Doc Anna, the second woman doctor licensed in Florida, in this interactive performance by Carrie Sue Ayvar, a third generation storyteller. Anna Darrow (portrayed by Ayvar) became a doctor in 1909. She braved swampland, alligators, snakes, and outlaw gangs to heal the sick, nurse the wounded, and deliver babies.
Admission is FREE and open to the public.
