Description
The Communications & Government Relations department at State College of Florida is excited to offer several FREE sessions of Legislative Advocacy Outreach training for SCF faculty, staff, students, local Chambers and the community. The online or in-person, one-hour seminars will provide an overview of the legislative process, tools for effective advocacy, and strategies for creating positive change. Each session will provide: • An overview of Florida’s legislative process • The role of lobbyists • Examples of legislative priorities • How you can be an advocate • Best practices for communicating with Legislators. Faculty or staff that have attended one of our previous trainings, can attend as a refresher with updated information and strategies based on current legislative priorities. All attendees will receive a certificate upon completion. Local District aides will be on hand to answer your questions if schedules allow.
