Description
The School District of Manatee County enrolls almost 50,000 students at over 50 schools, and maintains a workforce of 7,000. Superintendent Saunders and her team led the complex organization from in-person on campus learning to a virtual learning environment at the end of the 2019-2020 school year. They are now navigating the numerous concerns and issues created by COVID while remaining focused on student, staff and teacher health and safety.
Superintendent Saunders will share an overview of the district's response to the pandemic along with timely information about the plans for the 2020-2021 academic year including the measures that will be in place to support the education and success of area students while maintaining health and safety guidelines.
