Description

Join us for the “Hook Em for Caleb” Fishing Tournament planned for Saturday, August 17, 2019. In March, 14-year-old Caleb Bennet suffered a major brain injury as a result of a boating accident and proceeds from the benefit will be given to his family to cover medical expenses as he continues to recover. The fishing tournament, held at the Bradenton Yacht Club, located at 4307 13th Street West in Palmetto, will begin with a shotgun start at 7:30am and the weigh-in will be held at 4:30pm. The event will feature a $500 prize for first place and $250 for second place for snook, trout and redfish with two in-shore divisions: Juniors (under the age of 17), Adults (18 and older). Tournament entry fees will be $125 for six people per boat for the junior teams division, and $250 per 6-person team for adults. During the event, a kids fishing tournament will be held from 9am - 10am for $25 per entry and includes a bucket and a tournament t-shirt. The benefit will feature food, raffles, a 50/50 raffle, and a silent auction with items including a week-long vacation at a cabin in North Carolina, Buccaneers tickets and a 100-hour maintenance service on outboard motors. Participants can register before or the day of the event with cash, check or by visiting https://bit.ly/2LZjODi.
