Janet loves the emphasis on common life as it occurs within the context of architecture. She loves to capture the interactions of people as they conduct their everyday pursuits of life. Her style can be characterized as social or photorealism with a highly technical and detailed structure; her works are done primarily in pencil. The result is work that combines the fluidness of the human figure with the structure of architecture. As one examines her work, they will begin to observe life through the perspective of her eyes. Janet is more drawn to capturing people rather than creating decorative art.
