State College of Florida’s Government Relations department is offering FREE Legislative Advocacy Outreach training for new SCF faculty, staff, students, local Chambers and the community who have not taken our Legislative Advocacy class in the past. This online or in-person one-hour seminar will provide an overview of the legislative process, tools for effective advocacy, and strategies for creating positive change. This class is a prerequisite for our new letter-writing class. Local District aides will be on hand to answer your questions if schedules allow. All attendees will receive a certificate upon completion.

Learn how to effectively advocate for issues that matter to you through clear, respectful communication with state legislators. This practical class teaches constituents and community or special interest groups how to write professional advocacy letters that explain an issue, share its impact, and make a clear request for legislative support or action. As a prerequisite, you must have taken our Legislative Advocacy class in the past. This class is the next step in your advocacy journey.

State College of Florida’s Government Relations department presents a FREE, engaging and interactive seminar designed to provide a deeper understanding of the complexities of setting a state’s budget.
