MARTI SALERNI has been chosen to ring in the new year as the January Featured Artist at Island Gallery West with her water-media paintings exhibit entitled “New Year Preview.” Ms. Salerni is known for her use of vibrant color in her watercolors, acrylics, dye and yupo paintings. A highlight of the month will be the public gallery reception on Friday, January 13 from 5:30-7:30 PM, as part of the annual Holmes Beach Art District monthly Art Walks. The free month-long exhibit will be presented at Island Gallery West, an artists’ cooperative of 27 local artists. The gallery has been located at 5368 Gulf Dr., Holmes Beach, FL on Anna Maria Island for the past 26 years. Gallery hours are 10 AM-5 PM, Mon.-Sat.
