Description
Paddle into a morning of outdoor adventure and community service! MYP is partnering with Manatee County’s Natural Resources Department for Paddle & Pickup, a shoreline cleanup at beautiful Emerson Point Preserve in Palmetto.
We’ll meet at Pavilion #3 and kayak along the preserve’s south shoreline, working together to remove debris and help protect our local waterways. Along the way, you’ll enjoy the scenery, spend time on the water, and connect with fellow young professionals while making a positive impact on our community.
What to Expect:
- 🚣 Kayak along the scenic shoreline of Emerson Point Preserve
- 🌱 Help remove debris and protect our local waterways
- 🤝 Connect with fellow MYP members while giving back
- 🛶 Kayaks, tandem kayaks, life jackets, and necessary gear are provided
- 👟 Come prepared for an active morning on the water
No kayaking experience is necessary! Whether you’re an experienced paddler or trying it for the first time, this is a fun way to get outside, meet new people, and make a difference.
Kayaks are limited and available on a first come, first served basis. All participants are required to wear a life jacket at all times. Water shoes, sunscreen, and comfortable clothes appropriate for getting wet are recommended.
Manatee Young Professionals (MYP) is a program of the Manatee Chamber and geared toward professionals in the age range of 21 -40 years. Click for more information about joining MYP.
