"New Year, New You" Blood Drive Campaign

December 26, 2024, LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL – SunCoast Blood Centers is kicking off the new year with a month-long "New Year, New You" campaign focused on health and wellness. This initiative combines three exciting elements: Botox for Blood, partnerships with Tropical Smoothie Café, and National Blood Donor Month celebrations.

Botox for Blood
The 2nd Annual Botox for Blood event offers free Botox treatments, the equivalent of 10 injections, to blood donors. Participating locations include:

• ARNP Medical Aesthetics, Port Charlotte: January 25, 2025, 10:00 am – 1:00 pm

• Sunshine City Med Spa, St. Petersburg: January 30, 2025, 11:00 am - 3:00 pm

Mandy Neumann, owner of Sunshine City Med Spa, shares a personal connection to the cause: "This blood drive is particularly meaningful to me. My brother required multiple transfusions that sustained his life for two years. I've seen firsthand the impact of blood donations."

Tropical Smoothie Café
SunCoast is teaming up with Tropical Smoothie Café for blood drives at various locations:

• 5394 Fruitville Rd, Sarasota: January 15, 2:00 pm - 6:00 pm

• 3406 Clark Road, Sarasota: January 6, 11:00 am - 4:00 pm

• 8605 S. Tamiami Trail, Sarasota: January 13, 2:00 pm - 6:00 pm

• 8477 Cooper Creek Blvd, University Park January 8, 11:00 am – 4:00 pm

• 17419 Tamiami Trail, North Port, January 11, 11:00 am – 4:00 pm

• 1695 US 41 Bypass, South Venice: January 11, 11:00 am - 4:00 pm

Donors will receive a Buy One, Get One Free coupon to enjoy the health benefits of Tropical Smoothie's nutrient-rich beverages, which can help replenish fluids and provide essential vitamins after donation.

National Blood Donor Month
Throughout January, SunCoast will highlight blood donors, recognizing their vital contribution to community health.

Donor Rewards
First-time donors will receive a $30 reward, while repeat donors can earn up to $60 per whole blood donation.
