Scavenger Hunt on Small Business Saturday in the Village of the Arts

All you need is your phone and an hour to participate in the Village Scavenger Hunt on Saturday, November 28th, during the nationally recognized "Small Business Saturday". "The idea is to provide something fun and interactive while showcasing the wide range of artistic items made right here in the Village", says Jean G. Farmer, board member and chair of the Shop Small Business event.

The shops and the sidewalks in the Village of the Arts will be the "playing field" as people search for clues in hopes of winning over $300 in prizes provided by the local artists and businesses. The goal is find as many clues as possible in an hour.

Participants will start at Fun Girl Art located at 1001 12th Ave. W where they will be given the list of clues. From there they will visit as many participating galleries as possible (they are worth more points) while picking up clues along the sidewalks as well.

To qualify, the participants must bring their completed clues to 11th Street Gallery, located at 1412 11th Street W. within the hour allotted. Play can be anywhere between 11:00am and 3:00pm. Winners will be notified a soon as the last players are verified at 4:00, and will be able to pick up their prizes that day.

Just three blocks from beautiful downtown Bradenton and the Riverwalk, it's a perfect day to start early at the Farmer's Market on Main, then head over to the Village and have a unique shopping adventure.
