WEEK I: 6, 7; WEEK II: 12, 13, 14, 15; WEEK III: 19, 20, 21, 22*. *The show on October 22nd will take place inside the 1887 Old Meeting House Church for those who have mobility difficulties, or prefer not to view the performance in the cemetery. Gates open at 6:30 pm - Act I begins promptly at 7:00 pm. NOTE: Due to the interactive nature of this event, all attendees will be required to sign a waiver at the gate, prior to admission. Please allow time for this process.

Tickets on sale starting September 5 - $20/person. Advance ticket purchase recommended - Audience space is limited. Not recommended for viewers under 10 years old. Everyone is required to have a ticket, including children – regardless of age. Terms: Cash, check, money order, ATM/Debit, and most major credit cards. Tickets may be ordered by phone: (941) 749-7165 or by visiting Manatee Village Historical Park Monday through Friday and the second and fourth Saturday of the month from 9 am – 4 pm.

Spirit Voices from Old Manatee is an outdoor historical drama staged at Manatee Village Historical Park and the 1850 Manatee Burying Grounds in Bradenton, Florida. This unique fundraiser for historical preservation activities at Manatee Village is now in its seventh season. The popular production features costumed thespians who bring to life those interred in the county’s first organized cemetery and surrounding areas with haunting graveside dialogues. Stories are based on narratives from archives, descendants, diaries, military logs, books and legend. Viewers learn about the development of the area from 1840 to the turn of the century. The audience leaves with a new appreciation for the contributions made by pioneers to the Manatee lands through tales of their triumphs, tragedies and amusing escapades. In 2017, we introduce Sam Sanford as the Season VII Creative Director.
