Description
Join us for our October Headliners luncheon as we hear from Bradenton Area Convention & Visitor's Bureau (BACVB) executive director, Elliott Falcione, on the current state of tourism for Manatee County. We all know that tourism has a strong effect on the success of many of our local businesses and is a key driver of our local, regional, and state economies.
How do we mitigate against market turns within the national and global travel market. What nuances are there in travel related to leisure vs. business vs. sports vs. local? How are we investing in assets that not only drive the positive economic impact of tourism and tourism-related jobs, but also provide world-class amenities for residents?
Elliott Falcione will answer these questions and share how the BACVB is continuing to create momentum in attracting repeat and first-time visitors to our destination with both U.S. and international travelers.
About Elliott Falcione: A native of Pittsburgh, PA, Elliott spent the first six years of his career with the Pittsburgh Pirates Baseball Club. Since then, he has spent over 30 years working for Manatee County Government — 15 of those as the Executive Director of the Bradenton Area Convention and Visitors Bureau. He and his team are responsible for showcasing Manatee County, domestically and internationally, as a destination for corporate, sports and leisure travel. He also oversees operations of the Bradenton Area Convention Center, the Powel Crosley Estate, and Premier Sports Campus.
