Thanksgiving Food Drive

The Thanksgiving Food Drive runs for the two weeks before Thanksgiving: Nov. 6th - Nov. 17th.
The food will be collected on the last day of the food drive, Nov. 17th.
Location
Collect food at your location! Our volunteers will deliver empty boxes before the food drive, and will pick them up.
On the final day of the food drive, the food will be taken to our bi-county sorting and distribution location at:

We expect to collect 50+ tons of food! The food will be sorted by volunteers and by the end of the day it will all go out to our participating members to their local food pantries throughout Manatee and Sarasota Counties.

We invite you to help us Feed the Hungry this holiday season by helping us collect food at our annual Thanksgiving food drive.
Thanksgiving Food Drive
Participation is easy! We will drop off empty boxes the first week in November. All you have to do is fill them up with non-perishable food items. We will return on November 17th to pick them up.
All the food collected will be given away free to local food pantries in time for Thanksgiving.

The Mayors’ Feed the Hungry Program is endorsed by the Mayors of Sarasota, Bradenton, Anna Maria, Holmes Beach, Bradenton Beach, Longboat Key, North Port, Palmetto, and Venice. All the food we collect is given away free at food pantries in Sarasota and Manatee counties.
Volunteers are needed to help: deliver empty boxes; pick up boxes full of food from over 350 locations; and help sort the food on the final day of the food drive, Nov. 17th. This is a great way for your company or organization to participate in a community sevices project.
