JOB TITLE: Community Engagement Manager
DEPARTMENT: Office of Philanthropy
REPORTS TO: Chief Advancement Officer
LOCATION: Manatee County (primary base is Loveland Center in Bradenton with a territory of Manatee County)

ABOUT LOVELAND: Established in 1962, Loveland Center is a nonprofit organization that provides vital life skills development programs for children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) spanning Manatee to Charlotte County. Through its programming, participants are able to realize their full potential and build the necessary skills to live their lives to the fullest. Loveland’s Office of Philanthropy educates and advocates throughout the community to build a more equitable and inclusive society for all.
SUMMARY: The Community Engagement Manager is an important member of the advocacy and engagement team that builds and stewards strong relationships with our donors, community leaders, corporate partners, nonprofits, constituents, volunteers, and other stakeholders; initiates, plans, and manages Loveland events within their region; and helps build pathways for inclusion and opportunity for individuals with disabilities and the Loveland mission within our community.
QUALIFICATIONS : Bachelor’s Degree strongly preferred; 3+ years of relevant experience preferred; DonorPerfect experience ideal/Able to learn DonorPerfect within 60-days; Graphic design experience a plus; Must have a driver’s license and access to a reliable motor vehicle.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Community Engagement

  •  Serve as an ambassador for Loveland’s mission and advocate for individuals with I/DD in an effort to bring visibility to disability;
  •  Attend and participate in chamber events, committees, social gatherings, and community functions, within designated region, to strengthen Loveland’s brand, while raising awareness about people with I/DD;
  •  Schedule and conduct public speaking engagements to area family or school groups, civic clubs, and faith-based groups to raise awareness about Loveland, its programs, and champion advocacy efforts;
  •  Foster relationships with donors, community stakeholders, sponsors, and prospects by email, phone, and in-person as necessary clearly and accurately;
  •  Maintain positive relationships when cultivating and working with current and prospective donors;
  •  Investigate, research, and pursue partnerships and strategic alliances that will extend Loveland’s local, national, and global brand and increase avenues of support;
  •  Work with CAO to prepare customized marketing packets for community events and donor meetings;
  •  Curate content for marketing and public relations purposes from the program and its participants within the assigned region for social media, monthly newsletter, podcast, blogs, and press releases;
  •  Input accurate and consistent information into the database to track meetings, correspondence, and gifts.
Special Events
  •  Serve as lead on one annual major event within the region by coordinating logistics (contracts, permits, seating chart, auction basket procurement, event setup, scheduling, marketing/print needs, etc.), attracting sponsors and event attendees, promoting the event, recruiting volunteers, and working to meet outlined event fiduciary goals;
  •  Coordinate minor, third-party, and community awareness events and provide event- related support to all Loveland events as assigned;
  •  Maintain an accurate record of event-related income (sponsorships, attendees, in-kind gifts) and event-related expenses;
  •  Produce event-related status reports to CAO as requested.

Position Type: Full-time

Salary Range: $41,000 - $60,000/year
