Core Values: Collaboration, Gratitude, Communication, Balance, Ownership Job Summary The Finance Specialist's responsibility is to maintain and process all financial transactions and keep track of the yearly budget within Selah Freedom. This is a hybrid role with remote work and the ability to come to the corporate office in Sarasota as needed. Starting salary will be from $55-60,000/year. Non-profit experience is highly beneficial. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Create financial transactions and reports from that information; post the information to accounting journals or accounting software from such source documents as invoices. Reconciles accounts to ensure their accuracy. Tag/monitor fixed assets; pay bills ; reconcile bank accounts monthly; issue statements as requested. Provide information to the external accountant who creates the company's financial statements. Assemble information for external auditors for the annual audit. Calculate and issue grant statements reports. Maintain an orderly accounting filing system, the chart of accounts, and the annual budget. Calculate variances from the budget and report significant issues to management. Process payroll in a timely manner. Provide clerical and administrative support to directors as needed. Other job duties as assigned. Education and/or Experience Bachelors degree and at least 3 years of Accounting experience. Worked with not for profit is preferred. Clean driving record preferred. Work Schedule Typical work schedule is 8-5, Monday thru Friday. Some work times may involve nights, weekend or event after hours. Employee will receive proper notice beforehand.
