First Southern Bank is seeking to hire an associate in the role of Teller/Customer Service Representative in our Bradenton office in Manatee County. Summary. Operates a teller’s window by providing prompt, efficient and accurate customer service, representing the Bank in a courteous, professional manner. This position also is required to be fully knowledgeable and skilled in the areas of new accounts, cross selling bank products and services, and providing quality customer service to further customer relations. Essential Functions. • Accepts deposits, cashes checks, process savings withdrawals and disburses funds after verifying signatures and sufficiency of funds to support withdrawals. • Prepares cashier’s checks, processes credit card cash advances, makes change orders, processes night deposit bags. • Accepts payments; loan payments, safe deposit box rental payments, etc. • Enters transactions in the bank’s recordkeeping system, recording all transactions and producing a customer receipt. • Balances transactions at end of day and verifies cash totals. • Open and process new accounts, including DDA, savings, certificate of deposit and individual retirement accounts. • Assists with safe deposit box services, check orders, debit card services, • Prepares stop payments and wire transfers. • Provides internet banking and mobile banking support. • Answers customer inquiries and gives balances. • Retrieves and handles incoming mail, outgoing mail and returned mail. • Maintains a work area that ensures the safety of all negotiables and confidential records. • Answers the telephone and transfers calls to the appropriate personnel. • Cross-sells the Bank’s service and products. Additional Responsibilities. • May assist Head Teller, vault maintenance, opening and closing. • Cross trains less experience branch personnel. • Represent the Bank in various community or civic functions. • ATM Balancing • Performs other duties as assigned. Required Skills and Training. • Interpersonal skills to represent the Bank in a positive way in dealing with customers and other employees. • Knowledge of Bank Products, Services and Policies. • Successful completion of online training and any other compliance training deemed necessary by the Bank. • Have knowledge and abide by Bank Secrecy Act Laws and regulations. Education and Experience. • High school diploma or equivalent is required. • Customer Service Experience. • Cash handling experience is required. • Knowledge of general office and branch operation activities. Physical Requirements. • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times. • May need to stand for long periods of time. • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
