Part -Time Instructor – Western Medicine Courses

Required Attributes: Reporting directly to the Academic Dean - Faculty supports the college in fulfillment of its mission, purpose, and goals. Provides program-specific expertise and is actively engaged in relevant department initiatives. Creates an educational environment which fosters innovation, responsiveness, and accountability. Focuses extensively on facilitating student learning associated with prescribed course and program learning outcomes. Actively and substantively participates in assessment of student learning activities to maximize the potential for students to learn what is necessary to meet prescribed outcomes. Vigorously upholds a culture of academic integrity.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Lecture Acupuncture students in the classroom.
• Design courses to meet learning outcomes and promote students' active participation in their own learning.
• Provide instruction on common Western medicine courses.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills and ability to communicate with diverse groups of staff and students, required
• Strong critical thinking, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate as a team member
• Prior teaching and program assessment skills are desirable.
• Ability to organize and problem solve.

EDUCATION:
• Master's degree, or higher, in Western Medicine Field
• Florida Licensed in Medical Field
• Minimum of three years teaching/research/clinical experience.
