Job Summary: Under limited supervision, this grant-funded position will provide fiscal and administrative management of the Child Care Access Means Parents in School (CCAMPIS) grant program at State College of Florida, Manatee-Sarasota (SCF). This position will oversee the determination of program funds to ensure access to childcare for eligible SCF student parents, as well as provide referrals to social, emotional, and academic support, and assistance seeking additional benefits. It will manage, monitor, and maintain all performance status reports to meet grant and contract deliverables and ensure compliance with the General Education Provisions Act (GEPA) and federal and state laws. Additionally, the coordinator will work with the SCF chair of education programs and the grant advisory committee to assist participating childcare centers seeking accreditation. Job Description Applicants may be asked to demonstrate any or all of the following: 1. Knowledge of the characteristics of high-quality childcare and requirements of accreditation. 2. Receives student-parent applications and determines recipients of low-cost childcare according to a point system. 3. Coordinates with several local childcare providers to provide full-time, part-time or drop-in childcare for recipients. 4. Plans and implements a host of social, emotional, and academic support activities for parents and assists parents in applying for additional benefits. 5. Works with Education Program leadership and the grant advisory committee to create accreditation support teams to assist centers in seeking accreditation. 6. Maintains a web presence and creates and distributes promotional materials for the program. 7. Coordinates with the business office to establish participating centers as vendors and to disburse funds appropriately 8. Monitors grant budget to ensure funds are spent as proposed. 9. Serves as the project manager to ensure satisfactory completion of all grant objectives. 10. In conjunction with the Dean of Students, Education Program leadership, grant advisory committee and institutional research department, collect, and submit data needed for the grant evaluation. 11. Networks with other Child Care Access Means Parents In School (CCAPMIS) recipients to create and implement best practices. 12. Other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications · Education/Experience: Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited four-year college or university in early childhood education, child development, elementary education, or a closely related field. At least (2) two years of related work experience in early childhood or elementary education. Preferred Qualifications Master’s degree in childhood education, child development, elementary education, or a closely related field. Knowledge of childcare center accreditation. Related work experience in education, counseling, social work, human services or a related field. Two or more years of experience as a lead employee with responsibility for scheduling and assigning work, facilitating teams, training employees, and assisting others with problems.
