Job Summary: The Bridge to Baccalaureate (B2B) Grant Student Success Coordinator, under the supervision of the B2B Grant Program Co-PI, will collaborate with career resource center, academic advising, faculty, admissions, program managers and department chairs to increase the number of underrepresented minority students who choose a STEM academic focus and transfer to a four-year program in a STEM field. Job Description Applicants may be asked to demonstrate any or all of the following duties: 1. Coordinates student and academic support services for the Tampa Bay B2B Grant Alliance for the duration of the grant, which ends November 30, 2023. 2. Assists supervisor to design, coordinate, and implement proactive workshops and other activities each semester for STEM and B2B cohorts. 3. Leverages and coordinates initiatives that assist students in their transitions from high school to SCF and from SCF to bachelor-granting institutions. Connect students with peer mentors. 4. Informs teachers, advisors, parents and students at SCF about B2B and increase their awareness about STEM careers. 5. Serves as a liaison for STEM program recruitment and success between high schools, students, faculty, advisory committee, and the college. 6. Provides website content management for B2B program page. 7. Coordinates opportunities for students to have mentored research experiences and support supervisor in coordinating resources for mentors who supervise undergraduate research projects. 8. Tracks student participation and enrollment statistics and maintain accurate records. 9. Serves as a liaison to faculty and staff in the development/improvement of academic and other student support strategies. 10. Schedules and coordinates advisory committee and sub-committee meetings, travel to conferences, meetings and other events for SCF B2B faculty and students. 11. Provides direct assistance to B2B STEM students including, but not limited to academic advising, assistance with career planning, transfer to four-year programs and providing referrals to other on-campus resources. 12. Other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications • Education/Experience: Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited four-year college or university and two or more years of related experience. Preferred Qualifications STEM degree preferred. Experience in advising/mentoring students in a higher education setting preferred. Two or more years of experience as a lead employee with responsibility for scheduling and assigning work, facilitating teams, training employees and assisting others with problems is preferred.
