The individual is expected to exercise professionalism and civility in all activities related to the role of academician, including those concerned with the various duties assigned, and any involvement with colleagues, peers, community and students. The instructional lecturer is a full-time, temporary, non-tenure tract position. Salary will be determined at the time of offer. Job Qualifications The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. • Education/Experience: Bachelors degree and 5 years experience OR a Master's degree in one of the following qualifying fields OR Master's degree with at least 18 graduate semester hours in any combination of the following qualifying fields or a related field: - Computer Information Technology - Computer Information Systems - Computer Programming - Computer Science - Computer Engineering - Educational/Instructional Technology - Internet Services - Networking Services - MIS • Preferred Education/Experience: Networking and Security experience strongly preferred Java, Python and JavaScript programming experience preferred Experience teaching in classroom and online modalities at a community college or in an A.S. program. Appropriate industry certification(s) preferred. • Other Skills and Abilities: Must demonstrate effective use of instructional technology and be familiar with current office hardware and software.
