Job Summary: Responsible for the coordination and management of the library’s physical and digital collections and for the review and implementation of collection management policies. Supervises technical services, ILS integration of the collections, resource sharing and archival functions. Additionally, provides instruction, reference, and subject liaison services both in person and online.

Job Description
Applicants may be asked to demonstrate any or all of the following duties:
1. Manages, and evaluates technical services, resource sharing, and library support staff.
2. Manages the acquisition, and maintenance of the library's physical and digital (ERM) collections, ensures the availability of materials in various formats, and develops policies and procedures to assure the quality and integrity of the collections.
3. Recommends and coordinates development of effective ILS workflows for technical services and resource sharing and actively collaborates with FLVC to ensure best practices with the ALMA & Primo ILS modules.
4. Supervises copy cataloging and repository metadata processing and performs descriptive cataloging and coding of library materials in all formats when necessary.
5. Participates as part of the as a library budget team, to anticipate library needs and plan for the fiscal year.
6. Collaborates with the Office Supervisor and/or Library Director to ensure timely receipt of quotes, prompt payment of invoices, budget amendments, and any/all fiscal changes to accounts.
7. Compiles and reports statistical data for ongoing assessments and assists in the selection and de-selection of library materials, in collaboration with subject liaison librarians.
8. Provides instruction, reference, liaison, and access services as assigned, face to face and online.
9. Performs liaison duties with assigned academic departments. Collaborates and fosters relationships with other campus departments and external groups.
10. Serves on college-wide committees and takes a lead role in library-wide projects and initiatives as needed.
11. Engages in ongoing professional development and external professional service and/or scholarship.
12. Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications
• Education/Experience: Master’s degree in Library Science and/or Information studies obtained from an ALA accredited program, with at least three years of experience working in an academic library.
• Supervisory Experience: At least two years of direct supervisory experience including responsibility for hiring, firing, performance management, training and coaching is required.

Preferred Qualifications
Experience supervising library technical services preferred

This position is based in Bradenton and may provide support to Venice and Lakewood Ranch, when needed.
