Job Summary: Allegro Academy of Music is seeking a passionate and experienced Piano Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in piano performance and pedagogy, and the ability to inspire and motivate students. The Piano Teacher will be responsible for providing individual piano lessons to students ranging from beginners to advanced levels, preparing students for recitals, exams, and competitions, and fostering a lifelong appreciation for music. Key Responsibilities: Provide individual piano lessons tailored to the needs and goals of each student. Develop and implement lesson plans that encourage musical growth and technical proficiency. Prepare students for recitals, examinations, and competitions, ensuring they meet the required standards. Foster a positive and motivating learning environment that encourages creativity and expression. Monitor student progress and provide regular feedback to students and parents. Collaborate with other faculty members and participate in recitals and meetings. Stay current with developments in piano pedagogy and music education. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Music, Piano Performance, Music Education, or a related field. Proven experience in teaching piano to students of various ages and skill levels. Strong knowledge of piano repertoire, technique, and pedagogy. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to inspire and motivate students, fostering a love for music. Familiarity with childhood development stages. Flexibility to work evenings and occasional weekends. Ability and willingness to interpret and teach contemporary popular music. Preferred Qualifications: Experience preparing students for recitals, exams, and competitions. Ability to teach additional instruments or music theory is a plus. Compensation: This is an independent contractor position with competitive hourly rates based on experience and qualifications.
