Job Summary: The Sports Information Specialist assists with the promotion of the College’s athletics program.

Job Description
Applicants may be asked to demonstrate any or all of the following duties:
1. Conduct player interviews.
2. Maintain athletics biographical information.
3. Assist Head Basketball Coach/Athletic Coordinator with game day/non-game day informational updates.
4. Promotes athletic activities on various channels/mediums.
5. Pitch stories to local media/news outlets.
6. Assist with the recording of live statistics.
7. Attend all sporting events as directed by Director, Athletics.

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree required.

Preferred Qualifications
Experience in the sports industry, preferably in collegiate athletics, is preferred. A background in sports information or journalism is preferred.

Special Instructions to Applicants
This position is paid by stipend ONLY according to the SCF salary schedule, not to exceed $6000.00. All college searches are subject to compliance with Florida’s Public Records Law and all documents submitted become the property of the college.
