Job Summary: The Clinical Compliance Specialist will be responsible for monitoring students’ compliance to the clinical course requirements based on the college’s affiliation agreements with the healthcare facilities in the community. This person will work closely with the Program Director, the SCF Adjunct Coordinator in Human Resources, and the Program Managers and Level Coordinators.

Job Description:
Applicants may be asked to demonstrate any or all of the following duties:
1. Maintains the Affiliation Agreements of Healthcare facilities and aligns clinical requirements with the Record Tracking Company, Student Compliance Checklist, Canvas NUR courses, and in the Nursing Student Handbook to reflect the agreements.
2. Confirm that each student and faculty meet the clinical requirements at the highest level of the clinical facility affiliation agreements before placement and communicates completion of requirements to Director of Nursing Programs.
3. Reviews results of diagnostic tests and communicates abnormal reports and/or any noncompliance to Director of Nursing Programs.
4. Creates a new cohort group each semester and maintains current student records in the Record Tracking Company software currently in the program.
5. Collaborates with appropriate departmental program staff to determine student compliance in relation to the clinical, SCF program and healthcare facility requirements prior to a student being permitted into their NUR courses.
6. In collaboration with the Director of Nursing Programs, reviews annually and updates Nursing Student Handbook policies and procedures and documentation forms related to student compliance.
7. With the Director of Nursing programs, attends clinical liaison planning meetings.
8. Monitors the status of required hospital orientations and related clinical compliance documents of faculty and students on the shared nursing drive to maintain currency of such documentation.
9. Manages confidential collection and submission of required documentation for each clinical affiliation facility for students and faculty, and verifies annually that each faculty member has a current and unrestricted license with the Florida Board of Nursing. Reports any discrepancies to the Director of Nursing Programs.
10. Manages and presents the compliance-related mandatory orientation and expectations for each new student group entering the program each semester.
11. In collaboration with the Director of Nursing and the Program Managers, creates all Nursing Program courses and communicates the CRNs back to leadership for review prior to student registration.
12. Directs the permitting of students into their clinical course/classroom course and monitors active student rosters for appropriate enrollment in clinical courses.
13. In collaboration with the Program Managers and ASN Level Coordinators, tracks and reports clinical absences to the Program Director.
14. Under the direction of the Director of Nursing and the Program Manager, manages student readmission packets; plans attendance appeal committee and readmission committee meetings; and provides data-based reports as appropriate.
15. Maintains tracking data regarding student and faculty compliance for SCF's Nursing Programs.
16. Coordinates with clinical partners to place clinical groups as needed.
17. Under the direction of the Director of Nursing Programs, manages the liaison relationship with clinical partners through contacts and communications.
18. Works in collaboration with the Director of Nursing programs to plan and coordinate event details to ensure the success of the annual Advisory Board meeting.
19. Collaborates with SCF faculty to manage compliance and documentation, for precepted MSN students from other colleges and universities, who have requested a mentorship to meet the objectives for their MSN education.
20. Serves as backup for Department Secretary and performs other administrative duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications ·
Education/Experience: Associate’s degree from a two-year college or technical school and at least two years’ experience in a fast-paced healthcare setting working with patients/families; or at least two years related experience working with students/faculty in college-like setting; or equivalent combination of education and experience. ·

Supervisory Experience: One year of experience in managing client relationships and responsibility for organizing complex work product required.
Preferred Qualifications: Project management experience preferred.
