Community Engagement Manager, Lower Florida Keys Operations
This position supports community engagement and development activities for Mote Marine Laboratory in the lower Florida Keys with the institutional goals of:
1) promoting Mote’s research and partnerships;
2) generating attendance for Mote public exhibits, programs, and events;
3) supporting Mote development and fundraising efforts;
4) guiding staff and programs with the Mote mission to external entities and for events;
5) representing Mote to media and community entities.
The incumbent is expected to increase the visibility and viability of Mote’s research and restoration efforts from Key West through Marathon, while supporting upper Florida Keys activities as needed. This position is responsible for managing staff, engaging with elected officials, making public presentations, coordinating with other Mote offices/teams, and conceptualizing, organizing, executing, and attending external and onsite events.
