Feature Producer/Journalist

The Feature Producer/Journalist will be responsible for creating engaging content for our educational television channel. This role involves developing compelling story ideas, conducting on-camera interviews, and delivering both short and long-form productions that inform and captivate our audience. The ideal candidate will have the ability to host, write, shoot, edit, and digitally publish local feature content, bringing a hands-on approach to the entire production process. Pitch story ideas to the Station Manager that are relevant to the local community. • Collaborate with the Station Manager to determine the focus, length, and format of programs. • Create and develop stories for broadcast and social media, highlighting local people, places, organizations, and events. • Conduct interviews with local individuals, officials and politicians to gather insightful information for story development. • Attend local events, social functions, to gather information and report firsthand experiences. • Work alongside the videographer and other technical team members to assess production needs and ensure smooth execution. • Write/edit scripts for content as required. • Will work on small and large productions as needed. • Perform other duties as assigned.

Position Type: Part-time

Salary Range: $41,000 - $60,000/year
