We are looking for a dynamic individual to be part of the opening Star Farms team. Opening soon will be select amenities including Trade Route a full-service café serving coffee, pastries, toasts and sandwiches, beer and wine. Have a look at the property: https://starfarmslwr.com/ Responsibilities • Greet customers as they enter. • Describe drink and food menus and answer questions regarding ingredients & preparation. • Take orders while paying attention to details (e.g. preferences of coffee blend, dairy and sugar ratios) • Prepare and server food and beverages following recipes. • Operate point of sale system, receive and process payments (cash and credit cards) • Maintain all cleanliness standards and follow opening and/or closing duties. • Knowledge of proper operation and maintenance for coffee and food preparation equipment. • Compliance with health and safety regulations. • Light cleaning. • Communicate customer feedback to the management team. • Ability to open/close the café. Requirements and Skills • Previous work experience as a Barista or Food Server. • High School diploma. • A strong and committed work ethic with an ever-present enthusiasm. • An eye for detail, cleanliness, efficiency and organization. • The ability to multitask under pressure with a smile. • A true team player, proactive and always going above and beyond. • The ability and willingness to cultivate guest relationships. • Experience with touch screen POS system. • Flexibility to work various shifts. • Excellent communication skills.
