We are currently looking for high-energy and sales-driven Retail Store Managers to oversee day-to-day operations at one of our stores. Our Manager-In-Training (MIT) program will ensure that you are able to run a profitable operation while exceeding customers’ expectations every time they shop at your Circle K store. Annual compensation is based on a 50-hour workweek, which is an expectation for the Store Manager position.x Job Requirementsi: As a Retail Store Manager, you must be self-motivated and dependable with strong leadership abilities. You must also be highly organized and detail-oriented with excellent analytic and problem-solving skills. It is also important that you display excellent verbal, written communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills as well as the ability to motivate your staff to exceed customer expectations. Specific qualifications for the role include: • Experience in retail management, 2 years preferred • Strong verbal and written English language skills • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation • Legal eligibility to work in the United States • Ability to manage a business that operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and to work a varying schedule that may include non-traditional shifts • Ability to lift or carry up to 50 pounds from ground to waist (to replenish fountain syrups, ice, etc. when necessary) Job Responsibilities: First, you will start as a Manager in Training, a role designed to prepare you to be a successful Circle K Store Manager. Upon promotion to Store Manager, you will be directly responsible for the success and profitability of your store by ensuring that your entire staff is trained and motivated to use effective sales techniques and to provide exceptional customer service. You will also serve your staff as a role model by performing all store functions as necessary, by demonstrating and encouraging good, safe work habits, and by encouraging a store-wide commitment to positive customer relations. Your specific duties as a Circle K Store Manager will include: • Recruiting, interviewing, selecting, training, coaching, and supervising positive and enthusiastic employees • Developing, managing, and assigning tasks appropriately to ensure that the store is clean, adequately stocked, organized, and well-maintained to Company standards • Analyzing daily sales and expense information and taking appropriate action to maximize sales and net profits • Budgeting and forecasting Profit & Loss lines and understanding and managing merchandise margins • Accurately completing daily paperwork, executing fuel pricing strategies, receiving and verifying vendor deliveries, creating and changing work schedules as needed, etc. • Controlling inventory • Reaching desired objectives by evaluating and developing specific action plans that address the needs of your store Retail Store Manager – Management Trainee Benefits As a Retail Store Manager with Circle K, you will join a diverse team of people on solid career paths with an established and growing retail organization that strives to be the best place to shop and to work.
