Department/Location: Public Works and Utilities / Golf Course FLSA Status: Non-exempt Supervision Exercised: None Supervision Received: Reports directly to Golf Course Manager or assigned representative. General Purpose of the Position: The purpose of this position is to maintain the golf cart fleet. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: • Gas, oil, and clean golf carts for daily use. • Perform duties of starter/ranger when needed. • Paint tee marker signs. • Perform light custodial duties. • The intent of this class description is to provide a representative summary of the types of duties and responsibilities that would be required of classifications given this title and shall not be construed as a declaration of the specific duties and responsibilities of any particular position. Incumbent may be required to perform job-related tasks other than those specifically presented in this job description. Skills and Physical Abilities Required: • Knowledge of the rules and etiquette of golf. • Ability to deal with the public. • Must be able to adhere to prescribed routines and practices and establish and maintain effective working relationships with other employees and supervisors. • This position requires lifting of up to forty-five (45) pounds with frequent standing and bending. Computer Equipment and Software Requirements: None Education and Experience Required: High school diploma or GED equivalent. Valid Florida driver’s license and good driving record. Environmental Conditions: Incumbent is subject to outside activities with no effective protection from weather changes, noise, vibrations, job hazards, and atmospheric conditions.
