Job Summary: Processes all incoming equipment, material, and anything that State College of Florida, Manatee- Sarasota has ordered from a vendor. Ships all outgoing freight from State College of Florida, Manatee-Sarasota. Delivers on campus, all State College of Florida, Manatee-Sarasota orders received. Processes all paperwork associated with orders on Banner. Job Description Applicants may be asked to demonstrate any or all of the following duties: 1. Operates and maintains forklift and pallet jacks. 2. Fills in for Venice Campus Courier and Postal Clerk when either is out on leave. 3. Assigns asset tags to incoming college property as defined by SCF Rules and Procedures. 4. Enters new asset information and purchase documentation into inventory management system. 5. Maintains clear and accurate records of all active assets within inventory management system. 6. Coordinates with Director, Business & Auxiliary Services and Manager, Business Operations regarding physical inventory, warranty exchanges or damaged assets. 7. Receive, inspect, and separate incoming freight, and retain stock for Student Services departments as needed. 8. Receive purchase orders from outside vendors. 9. Processes orders including entering data in college's financial system. 10. Act as liaison with UPS, FedEx, assorted carriers and campus departments receiving freight. 11. Develops delivery routing schedules and monitor work standards to ensure prompt and efficient delivery of material and services to proper campus locations; perform delivery services as needed; coordinate delivery, receiving, and storage with campus departments. 12. Processes UPS invoices for payment in a timely manner. 13. Answers incoming department telephone calls and emails for the purpose of responding to telephone requests for information/services. 14. Maintain safety regulations and awareness in moving materials and handling hazardous materials. 15. Monitor and assist loading and unloading of merchandise. 16. Organize and maintain a clean work environment including assigned vehicles and equipment. 17. Responsible for maintaining electronic recycling containers, coordinating with IT and the vendor for pick-ups as well as verifying items sent for recycling have been properly disposed of. 18. Performs other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications • Education/Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Preferred Qualifications · Certificates and Licenses:Forklift operator certificate preferred. Training will be provided towards certification.Valid State of Florida Driver’s License – Class E.
