Description
In conjunction with Florida's recognition of Native American Heritage Month, the Manatee County Historical Commission will host a presentation by authors and Seminole War historians, John and Mary Lou Missall, titled: A Seminole Wars Tour of Florida. Florida's Seminole Wars are often said to be the longest, costliest, and deadliest of all the nation's Indian wars, spanning a period of forty years. For the Seminole people, it was a fight to remain in their homeland which sadly ended with the removal of 3,000 Seminole from Florida. The public is welcome to attend the presentation. Seating is limited and on a first-come, first-served basis.
