Responsibilities
Overnight Museum Attendants patrol The Ringling's 66 acre campus on foot and with golf carts.

- Protecting the collection, buildings, and grounds including guarding against theft, vandalism, other damage, and the safety of those on the property.
- Assisting with urgent/emergency situations in a calm and timely manner.
- Conducting nightly inspections of assigned areas
- Utilizing computers to write reports, send correspondences, and submit work orders as needed.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Ability to:
- Stand and walk for long periods of time.
- Ascend/descend stairs.
- Ability to work in all types of weather conditions.
- Valid Driver's License or ability to obtain prior to hire.
- Driver's permit is not allowable.
Preferred Qualifications
Skills relevant to this role include:
- Excellent time management skills and ability to follow instructions.
- Handling/addressing policy violations and conflict resolution.
- Utilizing computers and learn new technology.
- Working independently and with a team.
- Responding in a calm manner to urgent/emergency situations.
Helpful
While helpful, these skills are not required to be considered for this role:
- Previous customer service experience.
- Experience in a museum or non-profit organization.
- Prior experience in approaching work and interaction with colleagues and/or students.
- Ability to promote a welcoming work/education environment.

Anticipated Salary Range
$16.45 per hour (28 hours a week)

Considerations
- This is an OPS/Part-Time job.
- This position requires successful completion of a criminal history background check to include fingerprinting.
- Work Location: Sarasota, FL
- Shift runs from 10:15 PM to 6:45 AM with a half hour meal period.
- Weekends, days, or holidays may be required based on the needs of The Ringling.
- Eligible for $5.00 per hour pay additive for working special events.
