Job Summary The Nursing and Education Operations Coordinator (NEOC) is pivotal in assisting the Dean of Nursing and Education to manage the day-to-day activities to meet student learning objectives. The NEOC updates operational, SCF Foundation, and grant budgets, manages the ordering and receiving process to maintain efficiency, manages the Dean's calendar, and assists with scheduling classes in Banner as well as FLAC as needed by the secretaries and under the direction of the Dean of Nursing and Education. The NEOC communicates and facilitates events, programs, and student/faculty initiatives in collaboration with the Dean of Nursing and Education. The NEOC oversees operational electronic file organization and assists with program improvement initiatives and projects to support student success. Applicants may be asked to demonstrate any or all the following duties: • Assist the Dean with the day-to-day events and projects to further the success of the Nursing and Education Programs. • Assist the Dean with calendar/appointments, correspondence, and communication as directed by the Dean. • Manage the procurement process for equipment and supplies across all SCF Nursing and Education programs. • Effectively use college databases to produce financial reports for program planning. • Updates policies/procedures in collaboration with the Dean of Nursing and Education. • Maintain electronic files of Continuing Education Units/Certificates issued by SCF Nursing and Education. • Assist the Dean with maintaining the quality of information in the Project Concert database. • Assist the Dean and Academic and Evaluation Coordinator with Institutional Research, ACEN, FDOE and FBON regulatory documents • Update files and announcements in the Student and Faculty Commons in collaboration with the Dean. • Update the leadership team's shared files and dashboard as needed. • Confirm that the Nursing Secretary and the Education Secretary have completed and filed minutes to meet accreditation requirements. • Assists with scheduling classes in Banner as well as reviewing FLAC as needed by the secretaries • Assist with SCF Nursing and Education event logistics and alumni relation projects. • Other duties as assigned. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. • Education/Experience: A Bachelors' degree is preferred from a regionally accredited institution; and 2- 3 years' student facing experience in a college or a university setting; or equivalent combination of education and experience. • Supervisory Experience: No supervisory experience required. • Language Ability: Ability to edit reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from faculty, program managers and supervisors. • Math Ability: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, and proportions. Ability to compute rate and percentages, and to draw and interpret bar graphs. Ability to recognize budget limits and maintain daily balances. • Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram/chart, or schedule form. • Other Skills: Ability to work with teams and provide support to those within similar or different disciplines. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. • Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have advanced knowledge of word processing software, spreadsheets, Internet, e-mail system, Project Concert, SharePoint, and TEAMS. Must become efficient with current college database software and other college required software within two months of hire. • Certificates and Licenses: None required. Responsibility for Communication: • Internal Contacts: This position has routine contact with students and all levels of SCF staff. • External Contacts: This position has routine contact with prospective students, alumni, and community agencies. Frequent contact with vendors and local businesses in the healthcare industry.
